Conference for discussing Security Council resolution 1325-the united nation on women WOLA organization held a Special Conference for discussing Security Council resolution 1325-the united nation on women, peace Security, in Erbil. The civil society organizations from Sulaymaniyah, Erbil, and Halabja, International organizations, the high council of Women Affairs, Justice council, representative of Justice, Education and health ministries, National plan team for conducting the resolution of 1325 were attended the conference. at the beginning of the conference, Shokhan Ahmed, WOLA Director presented A brief about the project and goals of the conference, then a Panel was organized on the competent authorities and ministries on the resolution 1325 for : • Amal Jalal: Member of high council of Women Affairs • Judge Badra Al-din: chairman of 1325 committee at justice ministry  •  Suzan Arif: Coordinator of National plan for conducting the resolution of 1325 after that, the participants were discussed their questions and opinions. At the end, groups Discussion between the Relevant ministries and Non-Governmental organizations to write down final recommendation and suggestions for implementing the resolution of 1325.  This conference as a part of a project which is funded by OXFAM and implementing by WOLA organization.
